Postgraduate Diploma in Health & Social Care Studies
This is a suitable course for a graduate young nurse and/or health industry employee who is interested in acquiring the necessary managerial and organisational skills to expand your career prospects within the Health industry.
Entry Requirements
- A Diploma/degree in Nursing studies from a recognised institution or university with relevant work experience
- For students whose first language is not English an IELTS band 6.0 or equivalent is required.
About the course:
The Postgraduate Diploma in Health and Social Care Studies has been designed to help graduates, nurses and/or health industry professionals in acquiring the necessary skills to expand their career prospects within the health industry.
This is a 15 month programme including a 6 month work placement in the health & social care industry. The Work Placement Team will guide students in finding these positions. The placements may be situated anywhere in the UK.
NEW MODULES:
- Essential Study Skills (including tutorial),
- Management Essentials
- Working Effectively with Teams
- Vulnerable and Older Adults
- Preparation for Work and Continuous Professional Development.
Assessment:
For each module, assessments will be a mixture of assignments, case studies and group projects.
NB: Work Placements will also be monitored by the student's assigned College tutor.
After the course:
You will have adjoined essential managerial and organisational skills and knowledge to your nursing experience. This will help you develop your career and take up administrative and managerial positions within the Health sector.
